Pain as the bridge

We all experience pain. We can obtain power when we face the pain. For it is through the pain we understand purpose.

While watching Tyler Perrys documentary “Maxines Baby”, the Lord began to deal with me concerning purpose, and our pain. He spoke to me through a scene from the documentary where Mr. Perry began describing how our gifts are often hidden through the pain, and how we do not always understand why we have to take a certain path or experience certain things, yet it works for the good. Instantly the scripture in Romans 8:28 dropped in my spirit, that “All things work together for the good of them who are called according to Gods purpose”. I paused and with tears in my eyes, asked the lord what he was saying. Clear as day he said to “Connect the pain to the gift to build the bridge.” What this means is that our purpose is found through the pain. For “The testing of our faith produces patience and endurance” (James 1:3). So if we remain “steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” we benefit from the pain by “knowing that our labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1st Corinthians 15:58).

In other words, by simply living intentional lives, pleasing to God, we are given the ability to connect our hardships, pains, grievances etc. to the gift giver (God), who builds the bridge to reveal the purpose through Christ Jesus.
